private person whose job is being in a public would frequently suffer doing their job. I suffer this. The requirement to be nice and sweet at all times requires absurd amount of patience and energy.  One I lack of and one I prefer to conserve for another situation.

Things such as people calling for status of their proposals, annoys me to no end. I dislike being fait acompli into being nice only because I am caught off guard. But on the other hand I can’t NOT leave the phone ringing because it is simply rude.  I wish they get it that when somebody doesn’t call you back, it means they have very little interest in what you are offering.  Badgering them with calls and questions are not only rude, it’s…it’s…off putting. 

If it were my own world where I can do just about anything without suffering any consequences, I would tell them: Yes sir, your proposal is mediocre at best. And over here, we use mediocre as floor mats.
